Business Mentoring - Soft Furnishings

Over the course of a year I worked with CB - an established high end soft furnishings company - monthly on various aspects of business including staffing, increasing sales via identifying new income streams, improving marketing focus and getting a better handle on profitability of existing lines via better monitoring of time per job etc. Feedback was that time spent had been invaluable in allowing business owners to stand back from the daily tasks and develop a new clarity on direction to take to grow the business to the desired level.

Business Mentoring - Florist

I helped this shop based Floristry business to review and analyse the viability of taking the business online and closing the shop over the course of three sessions. Issues relating to the lease and staffing were also debated and I helped the owner to plan an exit strategy to minimise costs.


Business Mentoring - American Diner

Just one session was required by the owner of this business in the pre launch stage - overwhelmed by his burgeoning list of tasks I was able to help him complete a timeline chart and action list getting all the related actions into priority order and significantly reducing his stress levels!


Business Coaching - Sky Writing

PM came to me with a concept for a business but the time pressures of his existing role had meant he'd not got round to making a start. By asking questions along the lines of the GROW model we worked together to define the desired goal (G) , the reality of what progress had been made to date (R) , helped him brainstorm many options for taking things forward (O) then prioritised these down and examined the will (W) and motivation needed to tackle the next steps. Together we produced a detailed action plan as well as a timeline and PM felt he'd made more progress in 3 coaching sessions with me than he'd made in a year alone.

Product Launch - Breast Pad

CP having worked in the textile industry and then become a mum of 2 had noticed a gap in the market for a more high tech breast pad. Whilst she had the expertise needed to consult with manufacturers, suppliers etc and create a fantastic product, she lacked the knowledge of how to go about marketing/ packaging and presenting her product to retailers. I helped her with market research and hence product positioning & pricing. We also worked together on a trade marketing presentation covering all elements of the proposed marketing plan, market share forecasts vs existing products and full market review. I then role played a typical buyer meeting with CP to give her confidence in her first sales meeting with a major retailer which she found extremely helpful in ironing out potential pitfalls in her sales approach.
