REFURBISHMENT OF OFFICERS'S
MESS, LARKHILL
"I wanted to thank you for your considerable part in creating
the splendour that is now our refurbished Officer's Mess. You have
been the key member of our project team as you were involved in
four critical areas: firstly the design for frames in the roof space
to support the load of our 2 enormous chandeliers, secondly the
design for the eight windows which were to be decommissioned to
provide us with sufficient surfaces to hang the paintings, thirdly
you translated all the design ideas of John Scripps into builders
speak to enable us to go out to tender and finally you ensured that
our electrical installation was safe and able to cope with the loads
we were now imposing on it. You completed all of these tasks to
my total satisfaction and in great style.
Throughout the life of this project your ability to cope with the
considerable demands that we have placed upon you has been magnificent.
You have been consistently positive and proactive and nothing has
been too much trouble for you. It has been very enjoyable having
you involved in the project and I have valued your opinion enormously.
The finished product is really impressive and the collective view
is that the transformation has been total and superbly executed
. Amazingly it has all been down within our rigid timelines and
so much of the credit for that is due to your own superb efforts.
Thank you once again - I could not have asked for better service
or greater cooperation from out architect." Colonel Peter Williams
